Set up an initial assessment**with Katie. After the assessment, Katie will write a report on the findings and send it to you within a week.

STEP THREE

Review the report and select a day and time for academic coaching.

The initial assessment, written report, and follow-up conversation cost $150.

PRICING:

$80 for each 45-60 minute session, $65.00 for each 30-45 minute session, $40.00 for each 20-30 minute session.

 

We are diagnostic and prescriptive

This means we use both formal and informal assessments along with observation to determine the exact weaknesses and learning needs of each student. Then, we craft individualized lessons to explicitly teach phonics, spelling, and language skills. We are expert teachers who understand the complexities of the English language and can pinpoint and remediate your child’s weaknesses.

Our lessons are both targeted and strategic.

This means we take care to work on the specific skills and concepts that are difficult for each individual student. We do not follow a pre-packaged curriculum or buy into gimmicky educational promises. Rather, we use deliberate methods to remediate persistent error problems.

**This assessment is not diagnostic testing to determine special education eligibility. Nor is it a neuropsych evaluation. Rather, this assessment determines the exact skills your child has and does not have related to decoding, fluency, spelling, and written expression. This assessment also helps us understand your child’s personality, temperament, and attitude towards reading and writing. We want to know them as a learner and as a person. We would love to read an IEP, special education testing from school, or neuropsych testing if you have them.
